COMPACT Christmas

Dear COMPACT Friends,

Christmas is coming soon!  We need your help to make this 2018 COMPACT Christmas extra special for some very deserving orphaned, homeless, and foster children in our care!

Since Christmas is the celebration of Jesus Christ as Savior of the world (Isaiah 9:6-7), COMPACT Christmas is centered on showing how much Jesus loves Hillcrest Children’s Home kids, Highlands Maternity Home teen girls and babies, and COMPACT Foster Care kids!  As you know, most of these children come from backgrounds of abuse, neglect, abandonment, and other forms of maltreatment.  Most of them have not had an adequate witness of Jesus.  For some, this will be their first time to receive a Christmas gift!

Matthew 2:11-12 records that during the first Christmas season visitors of the Christ child “fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts.”  Later in Matthew 25:40 Jesus declares “as you did it to one of the least of these, you did it to me.” Acts 20:35 then says that as Christians “we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ Christmas offerings and gifts to Hillcrest, Highlands and foster care youth from a compassionate Christian delivers a very important message they need – that God the Father knows them, loves them, cares about them, and gave his only Son as a saving gift to them so that they could have life and have it abundantly. (John 3:16; Matthew 10:10)

Please find enclosed a Christmas Wish List for your sponsored child, or find a Christmas Wish List for your sponsored cottage, or a Christmas Wish List for another child in one of our caring homes. It is not necessary to purchase everything on a child’s or cottage list, however feel free to provide for as much as you would like. When you send the gift(s) to our campus, please include the child’s name and/or cottage name as well as your name clearly on the tag or a note inside the package.  It is not necessary to wrap the gifts.  This will help us with the process.

Consider sending a gift card or check for COMPACT Christmas and save the greater postage cost of a packaged gift.  By sending in gift cards/checks, you are giving our houseparents and foster parents a chance to go out and purchase the exact clothing and gift needs of a sponsored child.  Wrapping supplies such as paper, gift bags and tissue paper is also needed and appreciated.  Please plan for gift cards or gifts to arrive by Friday, December 7, 2018.

All items can be mailed to:

Hillcrest Children’s Home
Attn: Cottage/Child/Christmas General
2325 Malvern Ave.
Hot Springs, AR 71901

You can also give directly online from our website by clicking here:

In the notes section of your gift, you can enter your sponsored child’s name or cottage’s name.

On behalf of everyone at Assemblies of God COMPACT Family Services, thank you for giving this Christmas!  May the Lord bountifully bless you and your loved ones throughout the holiday season!

Proclaiming good news of great joy,
