COMPACT Christmas Q & A

Q: When do Christmas gifts need to be sent to COMPACT?

A: We request that you send in your gift no later than Friday, December 7th. This helps us track the gifts we have received for each child and ensure each resident gets a fair amount of gifts before they are wrapped and sent to cottages for Christmas.

Q: Do I wrap the gifts?

A: No, please do that wrap any gifts you send to us. This helps us know what we receive for each child to ensure we don't give duplicates and to ensure each item is safe and appropriate for the resident receiving it!

Q: Can I send in a financial gift instead of a physical gift?

A: YES! Of course! Your financial gifts are a huge blessings at Christmas time. These gifts assist us in purchasing gifts for the children. Please designate your financial gift as "Christmas Fund" and mail it to:

COMPACT Family Services
2325 Malvern Ave
Hot Springs, AR 71901

Q: Is my gift tax-deductible?

A: Yes. We are a 501(c)3 organization. When you make a financial contribution, we will send you a tax receipt in the mail. If you make a non-cash donation (such as a physical gift), you can request a form to fill our and we will send you a receipted letter in the mail.

Q: Is there an item that is the "biggest" need this year?

A: Every year, the item that is the MOST effective is gift cards. This saves you time and postage and allows us to shop for specific needs/gifts for specific children. Any gift card left over after Christmas is used to fulfill continuing needs throughout the year.

The gift cards we need most are Walmart, Amazon and Visa.
